HIA Sydney Home Show, International Convention Centre Sydney, May 2018
I am honoured to have been personally invited by my peers at the Institute of Professional Organisers (IOPO) to represent the Australian Professional Organising industry at the 2018 HIA Sydney Home Show at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour which was held earlier this month on the 26 May 2018.
In sync with my presentation topic, 5 Steps to Clutter-Free Living, the stage was a very cleverly designed pop up tiny home, sponsored by The New Joneses. I’d highly recommend you make time to visit The New Joneses website or follow on their socials – they are all about living lighter for our people and planet.
The forum was a wonderful opportunity to share my knowledge on decluttering and the benefits of living a clutter-free life. During the session, we explored the common clutter cycle and shared techniques of how to break the clutter cycle using The Organising Bee’s 6 Steps to Clutter-free Living model. By the end of the session, participants walked away with some achievable and environmentally friendly decluttering techniques and some practical strategies and organising systems which they can use when decluttering or organising their own home.
It was an exhilarating experience and I was in very good company with my presentation top and tailed by landscape gardener, Charlie Albone from Selling Homes Australia and horticulturist author and presenter, Graham Ross from Better Homes and Gardens.
There are so many talented professional organisers in Australia and the opportunity to represent my industry and the recognition from my peers through this forum is so important to me. I love supporting others to create a more organised life and it warms my heart to know that my peers recognise this.
The whole experience has ignited my passion for public speaking. I’m now on the lookout for my next big event. If you are interested in booking me for your event, please email me at info@organisingbee.com.au
